Worst experience ever. Can you say sexist and greedy?

Pros

Salary is acceptable but does not make up for the lack of respect for its employees or total lack of professional ethics.

Cons

Works well if you're a student who wants to pay money and get a degree, because cheating, lying, not doing assignments and simply not showing up for classes is completely condoned. It was a total embarrassment working there. They deserve the impending financial disaster they're moving towards.

A great place if you are just starting out

Pros

There are opportunities for advancement if you can bloom where you are planted. For someone with no prior expertise other than a degree this can be an opportunity to establish yourself.

Cons

If you are someone that already has expertise in an area other than student recruiting it can be challenging. Management doesn't get that to get the greatest contribution from your staff, you have to play to their strengths. In staffing, like in an orchestra, you don't expect a gifted strings player to do well in the woodwinds section just because you put them there.

My experience was subpar

Pros

I worked at DeVry as a tutor as part of a federal study so working and going to school at the same place was very convenient.

Cons

Nobody wore the pants when it came to making any sort of decisions regarding issues of any kind. All decisions seemed to be made by someone who was always one level up and in a corporate office that no one knew how to directly get a hold of.
