The AE role rewards performance - commissions are uncapped, and leadership notices top performers. It’s a meritocracy, not a place where tenure matters more than output.

Cons

It’s demanding. You’ll be on the phone, on demos, and constantly learning. But if you embrace that, the earning potential and growth are unmatched.

DearDoc is a genuinely exciting place to work. The team is smart, supportive, and motivated, and leadership is very approachable and transparent about where the company is headed. Because the company is growing quickly, there are plenty of opportunities to take ownership, learn new skills, and make a real impact on both the product and customers. The culture is collaborative, feedback is encouraged, and good ideas are actually listened to. It’s also very rewarding to work on something that directly helps practices grow and succeed.

Cons

Like any fast-growing startup, things can move quickly and priorities can shift. This can be challenging if you prefer very rigid processes or slow-paced environments. However, if you’re adaptable and enjoy building while moving fast, this is more of a challenge than a downside.
