Pros
When they lay you off, you get to keep the home office stipend
Cons
Went through like 6 interviews, didn’t get the job. Got a call back 2 months later they want me to interview again. Cool. Have to redo all 6 interviews again. Get hired, quit your steady job and work for 2 weeks before they lay you off Spend the 2 weeks you did work there, working on the product even though you were hired to do something completely different, their “onboarding” is you converting packages to work on their platform and knocking out their backlog. Get a random all hands meeting placed on your calendar for Friday, and your manager calls out sick the rest of the week so your onboarding buddy has to tell you that you’re probably going to get laid off. Learn that the position you originally applied for was laid off, then you interviewed again for the same position, then were laid off.
