- Management allows homophobic and misogynistic individuals to work on a management level and there have been multiple occasions where employees have been accosted by patrons without any repercussions or support for the staff
- Management have had inappropriate interactions with staff including making inappropriate advances and comments towards young female staff
- Kitchen is very dysfunctional and on game days food can take over an hour for one appetizer
- The tip out for bartenders, bussers and food runners takes over 25% of tips on a daily basis from the servers total tips
- Management is extremely unhelpful and often refuses to help on the floor during rushes
- The hosts are unable to seat the dinning room properly and often triple and double seat servers without a break causing the kitchen and servers and bar to be backed up
- There are employees that are supervisors but also work as servers and bartenders on other days creating a very stressful dynamic between coworkers that could be avoided in management was competent enough to handle their jobs without secondary support staff
- The security is useless. They are hired independently and not directly paid by Banners Kitchen & Tap leading them to often be very lackadaisical about patron conduct. They do not check ID’s so all age verification falls on floor staff even when the bar and tables are extremely busy. The security has also let patrons leave on their own accord after accosting staff members and did not supply the staff with any support.
- Hours and scheduling are very inconsistent and often those who were hired during covid at 15$/hr receive less or worse shifts than less experienced staff who were hired most recently at 5$/hr
- Management is actively against unions and has used union-busting tactics in an attempt for coworkers to share who talks about unions with incentives/bribes such as promotions
- Overall THE WORST job experience I have had and if it wasn’t for the friends I made with my coworkers I would have left years ago.
