How may I direct your call?" took a lot of people calling off guard often and made them stammer or stutter or pause before speaking as if they never heard such a thing before. -Customer volume versus service capacity cap while being understaffed -Not much focus on long term customer retention versus people who will visit only once and never again, and depending on this
