Cons

The salary was terrible and an HBCU you expect people to be especially concerned about being treated fairly but this is not the case.

Great exposure and networking within Student Affairs career path through conferences paid for by the department. Hands on experience on event planning and student engagement.

Cons

Department size is very small with most administrative work left for you to do unless you trust the student workers to do it. You have to work evening and weekends to assist with student events.
