      Great company as a whole but be in Charge of Your Career

      Pros

      The culture and benefits are on point. I feel valued and feel that what I do is important. There are so many ways that they invest in their people; Parental leave for both mom and dad, Tuition assistance, 3 weeks vacation starting out, certification can be reimbursed, and there has been a big push to help with career advancement. There are many incentives and opportunities for continued education and self growth.

      Cons

      It takes more than good performance to get promoted. Be ready to change roles and move around the company to advance your career. Work-life balance is talked about and pushed but early morning meetings, late-night meetings, and working on the weekend still happen.

      Pros

      These teams work on huge deals Their professionalism and skill sets are the highest I've had the pleasure to work with. Dell's vision and strategy is powerful surpassing competive vendors with dominant market share and integrated solution sets. The teams blend a range of deep experience and energetic highly trained young IT professionals. The intern program is the best I've seen.

      Collaborative work environment Intelligent, passionate people to work with Upper management clearly lays out direction and the reasons why we are going where we are going Folks tend to stay around, lot of tenure Company genuinely cares about employee feedback and acts on it, annual Tell Dell survey of all the employees that opt to participate holds a great deal of weight at the executive leadership level which drives behaviors through management Big company means lots of resources Excellent opportunities to grow in role as an individual contributor or move into management

      Some processes are slow because its a big company Internal tools could be better in some areas
