Pros
As a first job , it can be a good experience. Like all Multinationals , Dell provides a good exposure in understanding how a buisness works and how to work in a corporate environment. Also if you are in good luck and work under a good manager , there is lot to learn in terms of process knowledge which will help in the next job you will undertake.
Cons
Monetary benefits are very low, very sluggish growth or chances of promotion. The time required to move to next level is more than what is told in papers and the salary hike or bonus are peanuts. There is a no gurantee what future will hold as process can move. Also it is not a employee centric company so do not be disheartened if they do not value your presence. Attrition is considered but not too seriously unless you are an exceptional performer.
