Pros
You can set boundaries on how much you are willing to work. A lot of resources in terms of people they can pull in to the project with skills with specific tools. They encourage getting certifications and will pay for them. Really large projects. You get a lot of experience quickly. It's a really good name for the Resume
Cons
You constantly need to set boundaries on how much you are willing to work. Projects are under-budgeted, meaning that management will try to get you to work overtime to cover their poorly set deadlines. Bad work standards are kept in place because management doesn't want to allocate time to fix them. They rather you keep developing.
