      Pros

      Great benefits, very reputable, Opportunities to work within the community volunteering

      Cons

      While great and reputable, there is no work-life balance. The culture is such that there is an expectation that in addition to at least 45 hours a week in client work, you are required to participate in numerous firm activities and volunteer activities to be considered an 'average' employee. Additionally, vacation time and training are expected to be made up. Unfortunately, this does not aide to a great work/life balance.

      great, friendly people, a lot of investment in training and development, large worldwide network with opportunities to work overseas, provides good start to career

      Cons

      long hours which is expected and therefore unrewarded, remuneration is low, large block out period in which annual leave cannot be taken. Being in such a large organisation, you can go unnoticed and you aren't really given an opportunity to choose your clients and therefore career direction

      Deloitte offers and encourages personal and professional development opportunities. The formal training and ability to work with very intellegent people top the list of reasons to work for Deloitte.

      Cons

      The fast paced consulting lifestyle is difficult for individuals with families. The demands of the job can affect relationships and health and well being.
