Pros

the people and culture are great; there tends to be a bias towards transparency which is unusual in this industry; firm leadership and senior practitioners are committed to the apprenticeship model, working here you work with some of the brightest, most intellectual curious and smart people, in an open environment that lack some of the huberis other top tier firms are reputed to have

Cons

Travel can get tiresome but that is what you sign up for when you sign on to be in consulting; there can be some inconsistencies in how advanced degree and experienced / industry hires are reviewed and promoted; and with all careers, politics and learning the unofficial way is critical

Pros

Deloitte is uniquely positioned in the marketplace as the only Firm/Company that can bring the combined services of Consulting, Tax, Audit and many other services to clients (this is exciting and sweet spot of Deloitte innovation). Great place to start for young people or newly minted MBAs. Deloitte works hard to bring in fresh talent and pays them well. Many interesting people. Good brand recognition in employment marketplace.

Cons

For experienced professionals and consultants: Mix of competence across the organization at all levels (some people are very good, some experienced people are mediocre or poor, many people have one dimensional skills, and there are alot of ambitious people with new MBAs with work little experience) Experienced professionals will likely have a harder time. Large amount of politics and back talking (probably more than other consulting firms). For some parts of consulting, if you are not in New York or a select few major offices, your opportunities will be more limited. Deloitte is less global in coordinating resources and information sharing than one would expect on the Consulting side. There is less creativity than one would expect at manager levels and above. Can be difficult to actually take all of your vacation (Paid Time Off). Information exchange is lackluster.

Pros

The oppertunity to work with intelligent people from different backgrounds and all walks off life. The company heavily focuses on personal and career development and will try to support you in whatever you would like to do. The company has a good reputation and has clients including ftse 100 companies and aim listed companies to affluent high net wealth indivudals and global multinational companies. They also pay for all your training, courses and professional qualifications. Everyone is generally very friendly and very supportive of your career from day one. There are also oppertunities for secondments and career breaks too. Overall a great place to work.

Cons

Could pay investment bank salaries :)
