Pros

Will open new opportunities outside

Cons

- under pays and pay unfairly - new performance management is incredibly biased and does not reflect quality of your work, achievement of goals, demonstrated competencies, commitment and growth - managing perceptions are covering your a** is what most people focus on. Therefore, just a very few people are actually competent - get used to being backstabbed - no space for authenticity - pretty much everything they claim in their culture/employer branding initiative does not correspond to reality at all

Pros

- Great benefits (paternity, maternity and family leave can't be beat) - Deloitte Digital brand - Lots of project options - Ability to travel full-time - It is possible to align with good PPDs and SMs and stick with them

Cons

- Coworkers will backstab you (sometimes in front of clients) if they are feeling competitive - Hard to meet utilization numbers in commercial - Have known of projects with terrible management who worked people 85-90 hours per week every single week (not just busy times). Many consultants work 80+ hour weeks regularly - Firm initiatives expected

Pros

Name recognition, good benefits (but not on project delivery track).

Cons

They want people to work for free to write proposals and work for something for Deloitte which may not lead to anything. Many practitioners spend a lot of time on phone to do that and then have to spend more time from home to rack up hours. Management doesn't care about how good or bad the actual work is. The only thing that matters is the impression and how many hours the client is being gouged for. On project delivery track the extra free work is not required but the benefits are extremely limited (2 weeks of paternity / maternity leave vs 8 weeks, only 4 week bench time vs 3 months).
