Pros

Decent salary, good benefits. Most of the people (who aren't in management positions) are great people.

Cons

Mid to upper level management encourage a atmosphere of negativity and poor ethics. Stress is high throughout the company and there isn't a program to help reduce the stress. There is a constant emphasis on "what have you done for me lately". I would NOT recommend working at Dematic...you will feel like a robot and will be treated like you aren't smart/capable of making sound decisions.

Pros

- Good People - Health Benefits - Comp Time - Flexible Hours - Cost of Living / Compensation for the Area is great (Negotiate up!) - Lots of Travel (If that is appealing to you)

Cons

- Cafeteria food is unhealthy and overpriced - Leeches, employees that do not contribute and still obtain bonuses. Its almost impossible to get fired - Extensive Travel (130 nights in hotels last year) for most engineering and project management positions - Long hours on site, estimated avg of 14 - 15 hrs per day (Weekend cut-ins sometimes exceed 24hr days) - Straight pay overtime policy (No time and a half or double time) - If accumulating OT, must donate 10 hours per bi-weekly pay period (I've donated tens of thousands in OT) - Holiday pay is hours worked + 8 hours, Not truly double time. Do NOT offer to work Holidays! - Live to Work Mentality - "I worked hard to get where I am, sacrificing the relationships with my friends and family; my family resents me for it" - Manager - Working hard and getting ahead means sacrificing the relationships with your friends and family, some managers believe this to be true and expect it of employees looking to get a head. Its the way they earned their stripes and think its the only way - Giant generational / cultural gap, Dematic needs to reform its company culture - Top heavy management - Cutting costs in the wrong way which further decreases morale; instead forcing the upper management (the ones who are responsible for the supply chain crisis) into resignation. Their salaries + bonuses should wax and wane with the rise and fall of company profits. Take responsibility for your actions or lack there of. Shame to those who protect and allow such incompetency.
