PM's are oldschool and egotistical, terrible training, unusual culture, favoritism, not open to new ideas, no structure, no opportunity for raises The APM role in general is very unorganized and not very challenging. You don't make any decisions day to day you simply are a glorified electronic filer. The culture in the salt lake office for an APM is very difficult. Very controlling and micromanaging trainers, fellow members are not very interactive with you or helpful, and there is no positive feedback regarding anything. As an APM you are not allowed flexibility even though others are. If you have concerns regarding things the people here do not have your back for they are all very set in their ways. I would not recommend this particular role at this company to anyone. The company as a whole is not bad and has potential to be better but the APM role is not good. There is no room for growth, you are expected to 'shadow' for a year, and there is no analytical or intellectual aspects to the job.
