Pros

Global law firm with opportunities to meet lawyers from virtually all the continents. Consider associate's family life. Good work-life balance

Cons

Pay can be unsatisfying or too low.

Talks the talk but does not walk it

Pros

Learnt some good skills and got exposure to some great client and work. Good to have on your resume as a global firm.

Cons

The people...typical hierarchical structure. Juniors are treated (and therefore act like) children. Micromanaged. Expected to work 12hrs a day to make billables (6hrs) due to write offs from more senior staff. Bullies galore. Supposedly flexible but in reality not even close. Don’t get me started on their diversity policy. Just for social media purposes.

Pros

Friendly culture and no strictly enforced billable targets to meet

Cons

General lack of incentives to go beyond what is expected. Total absence of international integration of culture and anything else other than stationery, branding, referral work and secondments for the Singapore office.
