Pros

DI is a great place to work! You are given a lot of opportunity to grow personally and professionally. Co-workers and leadership team are all great to work with.

Cons

Open office format makes it difficult to stay on tasks sometimes, too many distractions....having more private office space would benefit some.

Pros

Not a single pro. I felt compelled to write this review after seeing the blatantly fake reviews from the owner.

Cons

I worked at DI years ago and was thinking about them today. I don’t know why I never took the opportunity to write a review, but I want to talk to the folks coming right out of college: do not accept an offer from this company, even if you’re desperate. It’s not worth the pain or humiliation of working for the owner, and you will likely quit in a rage or be fired. The owner is…something else. I can’t even describe it. He told me in front of various team members that I would always be a worker bee (not true) because I didn’t have what it takes to be a director. He also told me in front of various team members that I “wasn’t doing well”. He told me on the phone that I needed to “grow a pair of balls.” On my first day, he yelled at me from his office for sending someone to his voicemail because he’s a “very busy man”. You will be treated like an absolute dog if you work here. I was young, inexperienced, and didn’t know how to stand up for myself. This company is severely dysfunctional and they prey on people right out of college for exactly the reason I mentioned above. Low pay for skilled work with a healthy amount of hostile work environment on the side. After I was fired, he had the gall to call me and ask for help on something. The verbal abuse was unlike any company I’ve ever worked for. I felt more respected and valued working at a grocery store for minimum wage. I say this earnestly: do not accept an offer from this place. There are so many other organizations and companies out there who will treat you with decency that it’s just not worth the stress or anxiety. The only thing DI was good for was learning how NOT to treat employees after I began managing teams.
