Pros

It's a good place to gain some technical skills for entry level engineers. Stay for a couple of years then move on. If you're lucky enough to have a good boss then your experience could be fulfilling. Office is generally laid back.

Cons

If you stay 10 years, you get $1,000 for your loyalty. 10 years starting from 2012, not when you actually started. If there's a natural disaster that forces an office to close, you will be asked to use accrued vacation days or personal leave to make up the hours. That pretty much sums up how out of touch upper management is. The bottom line rules everything. Engineers at all skill levels are seen as commodities and are easily replaceable, even though the company says otherwise. Opportunities to advance your career within the company is poor. The movie Office Space is a pretty accurate depiction of how the company is run.

Pros

If you stay for a decade they'll give you $1000? For the most part they do respect the work-life balance, unless deadlines get in the way.

Cons

Extremely technology adverse compared to other companies. Operates on the old boy network with the if you're not with us, you're against us mentality - causes the first con. Growth is by acquisitions only - turn over is extremely high compared to competing firms I've worked for. The managers are not self performing and quickly become disconnected with what it takes to actually get anything accomplished. Many dictators and no real leaders - the blame game is played daily. This company regularly hires young guys b/c they cannot hold onto anyone once they have other alternatives. Any young person should avoid this company if at all possible - things may be better for a senior level person but young guys are not treated well here. Ultimately there are better jobs out there - don't let them try to pressure you into accepting an offer on their timeline.

Good autonomy to implement change.

Pros

Strong executive leadership; excellent stability; culture evolving in positive directions; people take a lot of pride in their work and their contributions to their communities and the overall A/E/C industry.

Cons

Benefits, time-off, and promotions are pretty standard for the industry. Not as quick to implement technological change.
