decent place to start, but I wouldn't stay here

Pros

laid back atmosphere - it's a family owned corporation so it isn't driven by stockholders (which can be a positive or negative thing) stable - 50% are government contracts so the job is pretty stable, even when one office closes, the company usually moves you to other offices flexible - going with the laid back atmosphere...it's pretty easy to accommodate for family situations (having an earlier work day to avoid a long commute; leaving early to pick up kids etc.)

Cons

horrible management. from my experience, the higher their rank the more lack of common sense and basic business etiquette for their subordinates. decent, but not competitive benefits/salary

You can make your own career but you have to be extremely proactive Flexible policies for schedule and overtime (if you prove useful to the right team)

Cons

Information flow is extremely fragmented as the company is trying to figure out how to become a one company instead of a several small very specialized ones. The company is private and very avert to change
