Pros
My company acquired Dialogic. It was a boards company trying to make the change to a software company. The integration went pretty smoothly. We spent the appropriate time merging processes, tools, etc.
Cons
Upper mgmt at the time had a hard time picking a direction and executing. The move from being a hardware board manufacturer to softswitch vendor was painful.
