Pros

Great executives; great benefits! Diamondback is the best of the best in the Permian Basin. The company pays all of the employee's and the employee's family insurance premium. 10% 401k match, annual stock awards, generous bonuses.

Cons

There aren't really any cons if you know what you're doing and are willing to work.

Pros

The company is growing so you have a lot of opportunity for advancement. The team of people here are excellent in their fields and are a pleasure to work with. The benefits and bonus structure are great! Our CEO is excellent at his job and cares about his employees, that seems to be harder and harder to find these days.

Cons

We do have times where a project has to get done and you need to work longer hours but everyone on the team pulls together to get things done. Those times are maybe a couple times a year. If you are in accounting or Division Orders, I've heard the atmosphere in Oklahoma is very different so I'd be cautious taking a job there.

Pros

The lean structure of this company allows for direct involvement in all significant company decisions. Management trusts their employees to accomplish high quality work and the employees return the favor. All personnel are top notch in their respective disciplines and it is a joy to work with them all on a daily basis. Being a small company, everyone sees the goal and strives toward it. Some may think that being with a lean company like this means that you have no work/life balance. That is far from the truth at Diamondback. This is the only company that understands that when they hire an employee, they hire a family as well. Well done. Benefits are outstanding. 100% paid medical insurance and it is a good plan, not a bargain basement one. Their 401K match is the best I've experienced in this industry. Fitness reimbursement, tuition reimbursement, training emphasis if it fits business needs, and bonus structures are top notch.

Cons

Hours can get a little long when something important comes up, but everyone rallies around it and doesn't shrink from that responsibility. But it is only temporary, and once the project is accomplished the longer hours are not expected to continue. The common theme is, do your work, do it well, and the hours don't matter.
