Pros

Coworkers are nice. Great comradery amongst colleagues Great snacks selection as perks Yoga and Workout Bootcamp

Cons

Upper Management is a mess, definitely not trustworthy Great efforts to install new structural policies do more harm than good Low salaries and almost no raise opportunities They cut bonuses on already meagre salaries Policies and stressful work load can bring you to the brink of loosing your sanity (you risk having occasional burnouts or quit before that happens) Big turnover rate of employees

Thank you for your review! We are sorry to hear that you didn’t have the positive experience that we want everyone at diff to have. Diff is growing fast and our Senior Leadership Team is currently working on better ways for us to handle this rapid growth. The Senior Leadership Team is open to feedback. If you feel comfortable sharing your opinion, I encourage you to reach out directly to the Senior Leadership Team, or, you can submit your feedback to HR. We appreciate hearing the details of your experience so that we can continue to work towards bettering our work culture. Diff benchmarks all salaries against the market to make sure we pay our team members fairly. We also review salaries every 6 months and adjust them when necessary. The majority of our team members receive 100% of their bonus every year. Unfortunately, below standard personal performance may affect the bonus. When performance is below standard, employees are notified during their one on one with their lead early enough for them to improve. When our team members learn new skills, contribute, and help their team, we never hesitate to give raises during the year. We are sorry to hear that your workload at diff was stressful. Our developers typically work 33 hours per week, and we always encourage our developers to let their lead or HR team know if they are feeling overwhelmed so that we can help. According to our data, diff’s turnover rate is lower than the industry standard. We believe that this is attributed to diff’s dedication to open communication with staff. We are continuously working to address issues that are brought to our attention, and we are committed to ongoing improvement. As mentioned before, please do not hesitate to reach out to us with more detailed feedback, so that we can address the issues and improve.

Pros

Diff is a young company, and it has a fresh feel to it. The office is nicely furnished, with workstations that convert to standing desks and ergonomic chairs. There's of other goodies too, like an HTC Vive VR setup, an espresso machine, and a fridge full of good stuff. TLDR: Excellent people, atmosphere, rewarding work, and a good place to grow as a developer.

Cons

The fact that it's a young company is a double edged sword. If you're a fan of process and procedure, it's not quite there yet. So stay tuned.
