Pros

The people of this company are what truly makes it great. We’ve come together again and again over the years to tackle problems and have been successful at it. Digicert has grown to over 1600 employees globally. Long history in cybersecurity. Investments being made to secure new products and IT/Engineering bench. Teams work HARD. New CEO is technical and sincerely wants Digicert to be successful.

Cons

Market is changing, which means Digicert has to be changing as well. If we don’t innovate quality product and advance how we market/sell we will be left behind. Recent sales transformation was rough, definite internal mistakes made. We will learn and navigate through it.

Change is hard but rewarding

Pros

HUGE opportunity to influence the organization as we continue to evolve to be sustainable and future looking. DigiCert is a great organization to join if you are open to innovation and unwilling to accept the status quo of how we previously operated. While DigiCert is not a start-up, there is very much a start-up feel to the company with amount of change and opportunity to influence your department.

Cons

Change is hard and not everyone accepts change at the same pace or is willing to accept change. If you are looking for a role where you can do the same exact thing every day and find success, this is not the company for you.

Pros

There's a lot of opportunity to make this company GREAT. There are some genuine people who have joined recently that truly do care to lean in and do what's right for the people and the business. The flexible work policy is great. I've had DigiCert go above and beyond for me during my time here when it counted. There's SO much work to be done here and once we can rid the culture of 'turf' wars and be more open to change, I think anyone who truly enjoys to find things that are broken and work together to fix them would enjoy working here.

Cons

The legacy culture was built around a lot of entitlement. The acquisitions and mergers that were done throughout the history of the org were not done the best. Because of this there are so many system and process issues that were treated differently depending on the company you came from. And as you can imagine that causes a lot of disruption when you attempt to finally bring it all together. It's honestly been painful. But there has been great progress made in some areas and it's what makes it all worth it. The entitled culture that DigiCert was and still kind of is (as you can see from the petty and tactless reviews calling out leaders by name) is what will keep the morale down and make the business suffer. There's a lot of chaos at times and still a lot of working reactively but I've learned it comes with the territory of working at a company undergoing massive transformation.

We appreciate you recognizing the pains that occur during times of tremendous change and how divergent opinions on change can be. We appreciate your reflective feedback about the current culture and morale. Know that we are actively working on one unified culture as we strive to be the leader in digital trust.
