Digital Cheetah Full Stack Developer reviews

I say Digital Cheetah is "surprisingly" great because after reading their reviews on Glassdoor, you might get a negative impression. I worked as a developer for a little over a year and have a much different outlook than many of my counterparts. - One of the biggest "Cons" listed in other Glassdoor reviews, is the pay. However, for a majority of developers at Digital Cheetah, this is their FIRST developer job. If you're a developer, then you know that it's extremely hard to get that "first job", yet Digital Cheetah is a company that gives many developers their first and maybe only chance. Why should they be paying their employees who have zero experience a $60k salary?? It's arrogance to think you're worth that much with no experience. They offer you something more valuable than money as a developer, that's experience... if you don't realize that, then you're blinded, by ignorance, to the way the software community works. Funny enough, probably all the people that tarnish Digital Cheetah on here probably wouldn't even have the jobs which they have now, if it wasn't for being able to list their position @ Digital Cheetah on their resume. - The second biggest "Con" listed in other Glassdoor reviews, was the toxicity. After reading all the reviews, I was expecting the worse, but to my surprise, everything was pleasant. I'm not saying the other reviews are fake, I think there probably were some issues in the past, but they're all in the past now. I had zero issues here. It was a very pleasant and a forgiving place to work. I can't tell you how many stupid mistakes I'd make on a daily basis, yet they never made me feel dumb because of them. No one ever yelled at me or treated me harshly, it was a great work environment (remote) and I truly liked all of my coworkers/managers. - The third biggest "Con" listed in other Glassdoor reviews, was the technologies. I understand from the developer side, developers would rather be using more modern frameworks and languages, but this is a company and not a charity. They exist to make money, why should Digital Cheetah start to rebuild their entire codebase in a more modern language/framework? Because it would be fun? Because there are some minor improvements that can be yielded from doing so? Is that worth the hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of dollars it would cost to invest the manpower to complete such a task? It's a naive business mindset for developers to put down Digital Cheetah for their tech stack, it makes perfect sense to me why they are sticking with the horse that's gotten them this far. If it ain't broken, don't fix it! - Permanent work from home! - Your SQL skills will definitely improve!! - You'll get better with the way you structure/design a project! - Even if it's not in your preferred language, programming is programming, and you'll be able to further develop your craft. - You get a healthy balance of working on and developing new features/projects and maintaining older code / fixing bugs! - They provide a mac (so much better than windows for web dev) - They're very chill with time off and laid back. They do NOT micromanage you. They treat you like an adult, if you need two hours off one day in the spur of the moment, they understand! You just need to invest two extra hours back at some point. - They have a fantastic amount of paid off Holidays, I think it's up to 12 or 15 now! That's not including vacation and sick time! PS. I'm not a Digital Cheetah fanboy, I don't even work there anymore, I just don't like people being ungrateful and tarnishing a company that has done so much for them. I know for a fact that I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for the Lord blessing me with a job at DC.
