A Company That Truly Cares

Pros

As a seasoned professional in the digital space, I've worked at numerous marketing agencies. Digital Strike is by far the best one! We work hard and play hard. Digital Strike isn't for people looking to coast by. Leadership values employees that dedicate themselves to the success of the company and their clients. No other company I've worked for has valued employees as much as Digital Strike. You can see this in your salary, as well as the fact that they cover all medical benefits. That's right, you don't even pay into it and the benefits are that good! The owner takes a vested interest in getting to know you and always makes time to help you whether it's during or after work hours. Communication is key to working at Digital Strike. Employees are asked to take an assessment to help their managers and team work with your preferred style. No one is put into a box to fit a certain mold. Everyone is valued for their expertise and encouraged to be themselves. I've never worked anywhere that has made me feel as comfortable as I do at Digital Strike. That's why I come to work each day to work hard and make my team proud.

Pros

You'll meet some cool people while you work there

Cons

-Poor communication across the board -Company-first, not people-first -Expectations of employees are never communicated, it’s on you to magically know what you’re supposed to do -No follow through. DS has a team of incredibly smart people that try so hard to do good work and improve processes. But the leadership team is a constant roadblock to change and improvement and often shun the ideas or thought processes of employees. -No formal onboarding process and no formal outline of job responsibilities. You just have to figure it out. They say that they will guide and help you, but you’re really left to fend for yourself. -Leadership team has no leadership skills. Talks about employees and clients behind their backs, thinks they are smarter than everyone when in reality their marketing practices and business processes are archaic. -Owner is a bully and a manipulator. Tries to pit employees against each other by talking about them behind their backs. Makes inappropriate jokes, often at the expense of employees. He’s been told this countless times by employees, both current and former, and still does not adapt. -Owner has an inability to delegate tasks. He should be handing off clients and projects to strategists to handle, but frequently re-inserts himself into client management which often derails projects, confuses clients, and ultimately drives them away. -Development of an “HR Department” is really just someone to do the bidding of the owner. If there was a real HR issue (which there frequently is) you would never feel comfortable talking to this individual about it. -Tries to placate employees with bonuses, snacks, “cool” work environment, but fails to realize that all employees want is stability and the flexibility to work from home, especially because of COVID. There is an underlying pressure to be in the office because the owner likes to keep a close eye on everyone. -There is no accountability here. Leadership has heard these complaints time and time again and yet they do not adapt.
