It would take a lifetime to list the cons. The 2nd generation namesakes are garbage human beings, and have secured their spots in hell. The world will be a better place when they’re gone.
I pity the poor people that work in the stores. Corporate life is bad enough, but Dillards perpetually works toward phasing their high performers out to hire cheaper associates. They simply have no concept of humanity, and it’s abundantly evident on the retail floors.
If you’re thinking of working for Dillards, it breaks my heart. You’d have to be in a very tight spot to consider this place.
There are 30K+ employees and NO HR DEPT. It’s as close to a privately owned publicly traded company as I’ve ever seen. They are Luddites and dictators.
