Pros
When your quota is made and surpassed, you get a pretty good raise........ IF your quota is met....
Cons
Sales quotas...... used to be easy to make, when Dillards still carried major brands, and before they started their own brands.... which no one is interested in..........Performance reviews every six months..... if you did not make your quota, you get a wage reduction.... fail it three times and you are fired.......policy might have changed by now.. unsure.. You could work your tail off in your department but all the work in the work does not mean squat if your quotas aren't made... I quote word for word what was told of me when they let me go, "Terri, you are a wonderful employee, work so hard in your area and displays, but we have to let you go because your sales are unacceptable." I worked in one of the highest selling areas, Men's Denim, but had TEN other associates in that area to compete with daily....... My being let go was the first of many associates fired, from regular associates to Department Managers, to Store Managers... very sad......
