Pros

A small paycheck and exercise from being on your feet all day

Cons

In case Dillard's hasn't been made aware of this, we are in the middle of a serious pandemic. Yet stores are still open and employees are told not to wear masks or gloves because it will scare customers. Employees and customers have raised concerns, but instead of listening and working on a solution outside of "take your vacation time or don't come in if you're uncomfortable", they've disabled the comments section on their Instagram page and are seeing this pandemic as a business opportunity while other department stores like Belk and Nordstrom are closed. DISGUSTING and a massive reflection that you don't care about your employees. FYI Dillard's, department stores are NOT essential businesses and it is appalling that you see this as an opportunity to beat your competitors. Absolutely shameful.

Pros

Excellent store discount on everything Dillard’s sales, best I’ve ever seen.

Cons

a lot of work, and you are very unappreciated. 40 hours a week is not enough time to get all of your work done, so you are constantly forced to work extra hours with no extra pay. Each time there’s a visit from district manager or above your job is on the line. Constant anxiety because there is no job security. They pride themselves for offering competitive pay and promoting within, but that is completely untrue

Pros

Pay can be great depending on you. You can goes at high as you like on the ladder of success.

Cons

In the 6 months I've worked here, the store managment has changed twice. The district manager changed as well. Our store has flipped completely and then reflipped. We are just now to a point of balance.
