ECATS 9-1-1 is growing by leaps and bounds, and now has a huge chunk of the national market. Interesting work, especially if you like Linux systems.

Pay is not great, and there is an enormous amount of travel involved. As a field engineer, there's really nowhere upwards to go within the company, unless you self-start your own re-education.
