Pros

Very smart team members. Collaborative environment. Many opportunities to learn.

Cons

CEO doesn’t seem to trust his team. He announced subject matter expert test that he’s rolling out to prove who knows their stuff or let them go. He’s way obsessive, pushes people to break. Makes threatening statements to his team about firing or letting people go. The best team members are all leaving.

Thank you for your feedback! If you ever want to reach out and discuss any of this with me directly I’d love to connect :) Here’s some feedback from a team member who I got to connect with this week: “Thank you again for taking the time to chat! It is so refreshing to see a CEO take the time and invest in feedback, this is another reason I am so happy to be here at Directive.” I highly encourage you to reach out. We can always be better and I truly value your opinion!

Pros

- The company has potential and the right ideas. - You won't be bored - Good benefits

Cons

- Management has a "it's our way or else" mentality. - Women are talked down to frequently and all opinions are dismissed. - They are growing too fast and the amount of work does not equal the pay and people keep quitting making it worse. - CEO micro manages everything.

Your opinion matters to me very much so thank you for sharing. I wish no one has this perspective of our organization and this is deeply troubling to hear. I can not argue that this was not your experience, but I can boldly claim that this is not our intention. I believe actions speak louder than words when it comes to culture. We pay a living wage (70k min.), offer truly exceptional benefits, have 14 weeks paid maternity leave, and 47% of our team members identify as women. We appreciate your feedback and I look forward to growing.

Pros

The CEO is really smart and engaged. There is a clear focus on delivering results for clients, which is what the work is all about.

Cons

The company has grown immensely without the skills to properly build a team and onboard new members. Interaction with mid-level management is schizophrenic - there is great feedback, then you're on the chopping block. There's a lot of poor communication, unclear expectations, and a total lack of support or training. They don't really take the time to know applicants. It is just a matter of acquiring warm bodies, throwing them to inexperienced managers, putting them through a series of poorly structured assessments - then throwing them at clients. There are a lot of red-flags, just pay attention to them. Don't trust anything anyone tells you; trust your gut.

Thank you for the feedback! I completely agree with you that we were under-prepared for the strong response our work received from the SaaS market earlier this year. I do, however, believe that we have made significant progress since July. I strongly believe in our management team and I can visibly see the progress they have made. The part of this that truly breaks my heart is that you felt that you were just a body. I never want you (or anyone) to feel that way. You matter deeply to me and I hope that we can form a deeper relationship. I really wish you got to experience the leaders the way I get to see them. They have a heart for you and it's a damn shame you didn't feel that. I truly look forward to working on these things together!
