      The job itself pays well for an entry level position and it is the perfect job for those that are willing to go the extra mile in customer service and the job itself. One thing that Discount Tire will teach you is to become a dedicated worker and give you a sense of urgency, as the whole point of the job is to knock out cars as fast as possible, probably fastest times in the industry. 10-15 minutes per car, ranging from rotations, flats, balancing, and changing wheels and tires. Furthermore, the company is set up in a way in which the salesman has the freedom to help any customer as far as working with prices and unique customer service, which goes above and beyond any other tire retailer. And lastly, hefty bonuses.

      Cons

      Tire techs seem to be forgotten sometimes for their hard work and dedication, which causes many good and hard working employees to quit. Managers (5 levels of management) seem to get all the credit. Exposed to the elements.
