Pros

Interview process was fun - The first interview was a card game on your personality and traits, the recruiter takes you around the building shows you the great facility. The 2nd interview is more like a traditional interview.. I also had to sell a speaker to the hiring manager on the spot whch was difficult but really hands on!!

Cons

I got offered the position and I took it for $13 a hour which is great, i went in took the picture for my badge , took the drug test , fingerprints , and the background screening, its been almost 2 weeks now and i'm suppose to start in less than a week with no here back, I emailed 2 recruiters with no reply back.. So i guess I'm okay i just wish their was more feedback

Pros

Advancement opportunities are EVERYWHERE. Discover really does value the experience that's gained from being on the job. The Benefits are ok. Oh, and the pay sucks, I started at 11.50/hr. American Express, just down the street starts at 16.00 /hr. for the same job.

Cons

The metrics that are used to measure performance, "iShine," is the most ridiculous means for measuring how well you are doing. As a CSR you probably take around 3000 calls a month and 5 random calls are chosen and scored - this is what raises are based on, not to mention if you do not meet a certain score you will eventually be fired. It was the most stressful part of the job for a lot of us.
