Pros

Nimble change ability for key initiatives, overall strong employee engagement, strong alignment to the customer experience.

Cons

Work/life balance. Heavy-reliance on IT -- as a marketer you must be able to communicate from a technology perspective in order to get initiatives done (high learning curve). Achronym-heavy.

Pros

Discover Card offers a large range of opportunities in the Information Technology area. You are encouraged to move around the company and learn about each of the different areas to help furhter your career. It is a very collarberative environment in IT.

Cons

With the layoffs last year, the staff is very overloaded. Tight deadlines are the norm. Political games involved in getting promoted.
