Pros

Lots of potential to add value. Since a few areas are still being built after the spin-off from Morgan Stanley, there are opportunities for growth.

Cons

Still a growing company so still in development phases of performance management infrastructure, so professional development is not on the top of the list.

Pros

Great benefits and work life balance; if you are 40 and have no career ambition come to work for Discover

Cons

Too ploitical in some departments; no long-term career path; misplaced talent; do not value new and fresh ideas; too much of a status quo company

Pros

Great benefits - 5 weeks PTO. Good work/life balance - not expected to work ridiculously long work weeks

Cons

In-position promotions are almost impossible to get. In order to get a raise or promotion you need to switch jobs.
