Pros

Salary, materials, great people, a leadership that really tries to do the best for kids, good communication, expert and caring educators

Cons

All those the challenges that you would expect in a high school setting. Depending on the school district, the challenges can be more or less.

Well-run district

Pros

Good pay scale, especially for those with great longevity. Can't beat a school year schedule.

Cons

Most employees are quite motivated, but union rules limit managers' ability to demand consistently high-quality work among support staff. Not much flexibility for time off.
