Pros

Great brand, opportunity to meet legendary Dolby technology innovators, great engineering team

Cons

Head of Sales&Marketing destroyed division morale and provided air coverage to his preferred apprentices who fail to prove competence; Extreme top-heavy hierarchy with over flooded VPs and Senior Directors who can’t give guidance and demonstrate leadership

Pros

Smart co-workers, so you learn things from them every day. Dolby isa " behind the scenes" leader of many new technologies.

Cons

Management does not encourage technical advancement and management skills development. Decisions are always based on "consensus, " but the only consensus at the end of most meetings is to have more meetings. Few people are granted specific decision making authority.

Pros

Dolby is a great brand to work for with some exceptional engineers and terrific technology. Overall the people are great and the work environment fun. Good opportunities to work in other markets and love the off Fridays

Cons

Terrible marketing leadership who don't have the experience, charisma or determination to pull the team together and lead strategically rather than tactically.
