      store managers worked to death

      none. it is a crappy job for crappy pay , the medical benefits are a joke, work life balance is a joke.

      Cons

      workload far greater than the payroll we are given to work with, store manager expected to make up the difference. Due to a lack of payroll manager spends at least a quarter of the dy as the main cashier. company spews mottos "D.G. cares" and "serving others" but in reality the only thing that it cares about or serves is the almighty dollar, employess mean and are treated as nothing.

      Pros

      My manager was the best!! I have grade school children,which means alot of school stuff,I was always able to go. When my eldest daughter passed away in 2010 I was able to take my time in going back to work,everyone was very supportive of me.

      Cons

      Complaints from customers about moving merchandise threw out the store.Other employees calling in and not getting in trouble when we knew they were fine. Basket coaching, and the company thinking everyone that works there is a thief when in fact the people I worked with were very honest and hard workers.
