Pros

. You gain managerial experience . You can advance to a ASM rather quickly if the opportunity presents itself.

Cons

. Peers overstep. . Micromanaging. . Has a high-school clique vibe. . Low pay, yet there's high expectations to overextend yourself. . Poor management and demonstrations of leadership. . Little to no conflict resolution skills, passive in addressing or amending issues. . Retaliation. . Hostile work environment. . Part-time pay and full time pay is different yet the responsibilities are the exact same. . If your SM has a relationship with an ASM or associate and you address concerns regarding that person, it will get ignored due to the personal relationship.

Pros

Good coworkers/associates, nice customers, but not much else.

Cons

Upper managers can and will give impossible expectations onto brand new employees, expect them to know how to do things without being told, and will give way more responsibility than told on hiring without the pay or benefits to match.
