Overworked with low pay

Pros

If you work 70 hours in a week cause your ASM quit you’ll have to cover the shifts regardless if it’s working back to back open to close shifts! You get paid the same no matter how many hours you work, which on average is usually over 60 hours a week. They require you to work 51 hours yet you’ll turn in 45 that in itself shows their deceptive policies. Dollartree doesn’t care about it’s employees only corporate and up get the best pay rate, insurance…etc.

Cons

Working long hours same pay no matter what!

Pros

no good reasons. pay is terrible, hours are worse. sometimes, management makes it worse.

Cons

all. no benefits. expected to give time off for work when called. has tried to tell me I was on call without compensation. will write you up for the smallest or stupidest reasons.

Pros

Diversity of customer's, if you like working with the public this is a good job. Also a good start job for 16 and older to get cashier experience.

Cons

Pay is lowest around, as a manager I don't get paid enough for the responsibilities that we are held accountable for. A cashier at other jobs start out same as I do as manager.
