      Strong Company with poor wages

      Pros

      Lots of opportunity for bottom line employees to become managers even store managers. Stable company with lots of growth

      Cons

      Long hours for Store Manager. Pay based on hourly for 40 hours but making SM work 50-60 hours per week. Base pay not in line with store volumes. 2.5 million dollar store only paying the store manager 50K is low. CEO got a 13 million dollar bonus though. Small back rooms for freight making it difficult to maintain organized stock rooms from deliveries 1,500 - 3,500 cases per week

      Pros

      I loved the customers! There was always something to do, greeting, assisting, servicing customers. Putting up stock, reorganizing stock.

      Cons

      The huge cons of working for dollar tree (at least the store I worked for) was the store management was a complete joke, as was the District Manager. No career growth! I was there for a half a year and an assistant position came up, I was trained to be an assistant, and my DM said I was too "green" for the position and hired someone off the street for the position!
