Pros

Great pay and benefits, co workers look out for one another.

Cons

MICROMANAGED TO DEATH. Supervisors are aweful. Management is just as bad. It's as if no one is checking and balancing them at all. No room for advancement unless your family with a higher up. They do not offer any sort of addition training to advance.

Pros

Good benefits, job security, bonus if we meet goals (although this year we got a much smaller amount as we didn't reach our expected earnings), good coworkers (at least in my department and those I deal with on a regular basis). I feel like I also have a lot of opportunities for forward movement as there is a very high percentage of older workers retiring in the next several years.

Cons

There are some people who seem to not do much work or at least by appearance it doesn't seem like they contribute all that much and in some cases are more a hindrance. There have been quite a few restructures of reporting locations/upper mgt. that have led to a lot of uncertainty in the past couple years.

Pros

Good benefits and pay. The people who work at Dominion are very nice. They have a great wellness program and bonus structure for all salaried employees. Dominion has a great vacation and paid time off structure.

Cons

It is hard to advance if you are not one of the favorites. You are often overworked and under appreciated. The upper management do not believe in developing employees unless they personally like you. The executive staff at Dominion is great and they are trying very hard to implement change. However, the middle management level are very resistant to that change. You will excel at Dominion if the right people like you. If not, you will find yourself stuck. Dominion also have a bonus structure that is a good chunk of your yearly salary if you are salaried, but every year that amount gets significantly reduced.
