Nothing special...

Pros

The cookies are free to employees. Discounts at related properties. Always meeting new clients and challenges meaning no two days are the same.

Cons

Management is very disjoint and out to work the heck out of their reports for little or no recognition. Management is more concerned with throwing (away) money at motivational speakers and self-improvement seminars for the staff instead of focusing on being good and effective managers themselves.

Pros

They money is decent, the cookies are good and you'll learn a lot.

Cons

The company it self has great morals but, management ruins it. The hours are some of the longest I've ever had (50-60+) which I was fine with but, GOD forbid you have a family emergency or become ill. Upper management always had a bad attitude toward time off yet they would take as much as they needed. Being a catering manager requires a lot of time and you need to have an extremely flexible schedule. I was the only one in my office that was not married or had children and I don't recommend it to anyone who has a family. YOU'LL NEVER SEE THEM AGAIN! Another thing that was very off putting was the fact we were always cutting back on jobs and money in areas that were essential to keep the integrity of the hotel. I cant sell a trashy hotel nor do I want to. Cutting back on labor in housekeeping and maintenance is always a bad idea and I feel that every one, including the guests, noticed. Biggest thing to note is DO NOT EXPECT HELP. If you have a problem, yeah...we'll talk about it but, don't expect a resolution.

Pros

This is a great location, they have a beautiful pool, and every couple of months the hotel throws amazing pool parties, (which your not allowed to be any part of).

Cons

Favoritism is a HUGE factor here!! managers treat their employees horrible, you could do a really good job but no one will pat you on the back, but one tiny mistake and everyone is quick to throw you down, lack of communication between all departments, very childish "he said, she said" nonsense. Old building, so guests complain pretty much about EVERYTHING!
