My boss at the time, who has since retired, was one of the most amazing people I have ever had the pleasure to work for. Family came first and she always ensured my family was important and that we could get to the job later. It just made me work harder.
Cons
We were a nonprofit and so sometimes supplies were short.
Cash your own check. Plenty of overtime to be had. Even if you don't want it
Cons
Administration are very selective with with rules and regulations to enforce on employees. I was told directly by administration (who have never done the job themselves) that I should have supervisors make decisions for me during intense situations. Over all administration has a general distrust of employees and continue to take what little ability low level employees have to effectively and safely do their job.
