Pros

Fun environment, cool product, good leadership team

Cons

They have absolutely no work/life balance. They do not understand the importance of remote work and demand you be in the office every day. They are not understanding the world that we live in today and they push their employees too hard. If you have a family or a life I would steer clear.

Thank you for your time at DraftKings and your honest feedback. COVID-19 has impacted everyone, and we understand the challenges our employees are facing both personally and professionally as we scale the business in 2021. From Jason Robins down, we urge our teammates to take the time they need to care for themselves and their loved ones and to do their best work. As a company, we have provided our colleagues with a WFH setup and stipend for their home office needs, caregivers support, virtual health and wellness offerings, and we continue to recognize and reward our employees globally for their hard work day in and day out. We hope you stay safe and wish you the best. Jason

Pros

- Constant new development and innovation, starting early on you will be expected to design, build, and test your own systems. - Ownership means learning all about the deployment, maintenance, and testing side of the process as well as coding. - Surrounded by excellent engineers. - Fun office perks and culture. Snacks, beer/wine, extra curricular events help build more personal relationships with coworkers - Flexible schedule and vacation time/work from home policy.

Cons

- Incredibly fast paced, and a "bias for action" means projects are often started before they are fully thought out. You will probably build at least one thing that doesn't get shipped or used in production. It can sometimes feel like the team is scrambling without a clear goal. - The engineering org structure is constantly changing, and career paths are not as clearly defined as they should be.

Pros

- Some really smart young people at the Lead Analyst level and below - Good office perks such as free food, beer etc

Cons

- Long hours for high performers - Lack of accountability for certain people - Low performers just get less work and still get recognized the same as high performers (all you have to do is tell your director how busy you are all the time and they won't question you) - Big problems with nepotism / favoritism (newsflash, its not the high performers who are the favorites) - Disconnect between Directors and above and everyone below - Review process is terrible and leveling guide they have created to "develop you" is just a tool they use against you - Clear DEI abuse favoring women within the analytics org
