- mission oriented - excellent team members - above average compensation - concentration of industry experts

Cons

- company is not run well at the executive level - utilization of employees is consistently low, with inconsistent sales pipeline; consistently, the messaging to the employees has been to increase utilization and efficiency - a lot of hype and fluff; in an effort to scale, the company hired excessively post series D, which has impacted quality...and ultimately led to recent layoffs - lack of innovation, no real incentive to innovate (a direct result of messaging from the CEO himself to stay razor focussed on the mission and keep doing what they have been doing in the past, but do it well)

Pros

I've been working at Dragos for almost 9 months, and I've had a wonderful time. Management responds quickly and adapts to the evolving challenges, the sense of community is very real, and the opportunities for advancement are baked in seamlessly. A very exciting time to be a part of a growing company. Compensation and benefits are also FANTASTIC for a start-up, and the executives are transparent with their "team-first" mentality.

Cons

I would say the growing pains of a small business, going from 40 employees to over 100 comes with hiccups, but this is a big part of working at a start-up. The next two years will be a challenge, but an extremely rewarding one. Sometimes long hours are required to make sure things get done, but again, this comes with the type of company.
