Pros

Fun work environment. Paid holidays. After 5 years of employment, you get 2 PTO per month. Pace of work changes from day to day. Some days are chill while others are non-stop busy. As a manager, you wear many different hats which prepares you to be a more well rounded employee at future jobs. DriveTime management is typically flexible with employee if you have a special event or function attend.

Cons

Limited opportunities for promotion. Unpredictable schedule in which you may be scheduled to leave at 6pm but don't end up leaving until 10pm due to high traffic volume. DriveTime makes you accept all applications, even though the customer may walk in the door with 1 minute until close. You then have to stay as late as the customer wants to be there. I had instances where I was about to close the front doors, a customer walks in, then I'm stuck at the dealership until midnight. Complaints about management are typically seen as retaliation by subordinates rather than feedback.

Thank you for stopping by and leaving a review for us. We appreciate your time and dedication to DriveTime for 5+ years! We agree that everyday brings something new whether it is the pace of the day, the situations we are in, or even the lessons we learn, which also makes it a fun and interesting and place to work at! Our customers help drive our business, and with the help of our retail staff, your help impacts their car buying experience. When a customer has 1 minute before the store closes for the night, that's the difference between us and other companies; we are dedicated from the very beginning. We appreciate your feedback on the leadership promotions. Our leaders go through career development and ongoing training to ensure they and their teams are successful along the way. Through coaching and feedback for all employees at every level, we are confident they have the support and the potential to be impactful and successful. Thank you again for taking the time to write a review. While our time together has come to an end, we hope your next venture offers the fun work environment you once had with DriveTime. Best of luck!

When you love your job, it truly shows! It is so nice to hear that you are enjoying and thriving in your role as a Customer Experience Guide. Your role as a CEG is so important to our business and customers, as you are the first face they get to meet, and to help them through the car buying process. We appreciate the feedback on the training and development. We invest time, resources, and continuous development for all of our employees, because we know that when they are winning, we are doing great things as a company. Thank you for stopping by and leaving us a review!

Pros

You’re insured the 30th day

Cons

It’s a car sales job. Double standards! Customers are given optional products, BUT you have to sell it. You’re pretty much a sales person, admin assistant and of course a lot tech! You have to replace accessory parts ie: batteries! Wipers, headlights, etc. management pretends they care, but definitely pressured by executives to high sales during the pandemic. They’ve stopped talking about PANDEMIC and focus on numbers. Just like any other corporations. They want you to do everything I mean everything so you’re stressed and under pressure at all times to finish everything including your title paperwork, post sale + training online and of course you’re salaried, so no OT. In short, if you’re desperate for a job and love heavy LABOR for $50k have at it.
