Pros

Benefits Culture Low Stress The benefits and culture are outstanding. The people (mostly) are pretty cool and end up being friends outside of work. For a sales job, it's pretty low stress since it's mostly just going for the sale rather than worry about up selling and adding products. But unfortunately, this is a bit of a con, b/c you're not being paid if you happen to do well on up selling or adding the additional products and rather you get written up or being verbally warned that you are not selling these products.

Cons

Pay work/life balance Customers For retail it's as good as you can get. Sundays and major holidays you are off. But since it's sales you have to stay after hours (a lot) to get the sale or come in early and on days off to do well. THE BIGGEST CON would be your clients. This is the main reason why I left and work/life balance. You are going to be dealing with low credit score customers who feel they are entitled to your best inventory. Day in and day out you will be hearing the same thing, mulitple times per day. What's my down payment on your most expensive car and I want the lowest down payment and payments. Also, the inventory you sell just seems like there is something wrong with every car. The vast majority of vehicles you sell have higher mileage, were previous rentals, or just seems like they have problems. You have to deal with returns, customers screaming at you b/c there's something wrong, and cars you sold being repossessed that also affect your pay. And get used to jumping cars. You will do this. A lot.
