Pros

Great work environment, job security (the company expanded during the "great recession"), fun work environment, the company helps you to develop and grow with the company, good opportunities for career growth. On the management side you can really learn a lot about running a business.

Cons

DriveTime has come to rely so heavily on data, charts, and graphs that it feels like you can be micromanaged. Long hours, especially during tax season (up to 55-60 hours per week) become overwhelming to the mind and body. The company expects more and more but gives you less and less for what you do! While the company is having their most profitable year ever, the guys at the top are enjoying their HUGE bonuses while the front line retail employees get paid even less to do more work.

We appreciate your honest feedback. In regards to data, we want to be as efficient as we can in, but we do see how it can seem like we are micromanaging. That’s not our intention. We are taking steps to make tax season less stressful for our retail employees, including the possibility of switching to flexible hours, so please know that your concerns have been noted and we are actively working to provide a better balance. Our company-wide bonus structured is reviewed annually and modified to reward everyone as fairly as possible.

Pros

Not a truly high stress job. Once you have a grasp of the general concept you can go far in the company our stay where you are and make great money.

Cons

During peak time you will have to work longer than usual hours. This is something that is understood outside of tax season hours are ok.

Pros

Great culture, promotional opportunities and very competitive pay. Company continuing to grow. The management at Drivetime always has an open door and seem to genuinely care for their employees.

Cons

Nothing too much to comment on. Every company has opportunities to become greater. Drivetime can continue to stay dialed into their employees, solicit feedback and implement changes that will have a positive impact on the work environment.
