Pros

Amazingly sweet owners, product discount is generous, free blowout styles from coworkers, tips, flexible scheduling when needed but a set schedule you can plan around.

Cons

Overbooking on the busy days, sitting around for hours during the slow times, really tall chairs that make styling difficult for even the tallest stylists (me!), rigid styling rules that do not work for a lot of clients, strict timing of client appointments that can be unreachable, very low wages that do not reflect the amount of work being done or the stylists experience level ($10 per hour plus tips), high turnover

High turnover for a reason.

Pros

Good tips with your regulars.

Cons

High turnover left us without a manager for months at a time. Over booking had our regular clients appointments pushed back or canceled leaving them unsatisfied and our money suffering. Stylist not trained well and you have to constantly over compensate for them. Having to run around doing every job because people quit all the time.
