Pros

fast paced and opportunity to lead good people

Cons

Stay away from this mess of a company, HR is terrible and you will work 12 hour days to make less than a living wage.

Pros

Drybar is such a fun environment, I got along with my coworkers 98 percent of the time. They teach you their technique and it’s pretty awesome, their hot tools and products are pretty good. The salon decor, environment and concept itself is well thought out and meticoulsy planned. Drybar has built a pretty good reputation for themselves so the clientele is steady. You get to meet a lot of people so come to work pretty and they only build DRYBAR’s in affluent neighborhoods so that could be a pro or con for you but a great networking opportunity . Worked here during college while taking 18 plus hours they were flexible with my schedule. My managers at drybar river oaks were amazing and understanding DRYBAR’s staff upper management is pretty good as well. Fun work meetings usually food catered.

Cons

You may be scheduled to work a certain time but if it’s not busy they will tell you to stay home, or if you arrive and it’s not busy they will not let you clock in. If you have actual bills and responsibilities this should be temporary or in conjunction with another job. this is decent play money but not reliable and you are under paid. Better, sturdier brushes for the stylist would also be awesome

Pros

The job is easy if you are a skilled hairstylist. It is practically getting the label as a hairstylist when you are doing everything you use to do as an assistant. I worked in the NYC circuit, so at first the clientele was booming and the tips were awesome.

Cons

Too many locations were opened too fast. Clients are not as loyal due to a more convenient location being opened up within blocks of 'your' location. So not as busy as it once was. The quality of the blow out changed from the beginning, I was hired in one of the first location that were opened in Manhattan and it was a 2 month long hiring process, now there is a novel of questions that are impossible to know unless you previously worked for the company. Its more about the products (upselling) and the business side (who is who) rather than the blowout and the client like it was originally.
