Its Okay: Working at Drybar

Pros

Clients are great (you'll always have that one just a part of the business) Money is decent if you don't have any major responsibilities good start for someone fresh out of school

Cons

pay could be much better (they recently restructured the commission system to basically nothing) management could be more in tune with staff needs cleanliness (some shops are filthy) break schedule could be more efficient (some days you may not get one until an hour before you shift ends) favoritism among stylist/clients this job is not for the lazy or the weak. it is hard and fast paced work

Pros

Great coworkers, learn how to master styling(except updos). Fun to watch movies while styling. Discount on products and free blowouts.

Cons

No lunch breaks, constantly overbooked, have to work when you're sick. Friday's and Saturday's get so busy clients wait 45+ mins for their blowouts and are in an awful mood by the time you get to them. Always exhausted.

Flexible. There honestly is no other pro. Besides the people I work with being nice. Ugh. There's a 20 word minimum.

Cons

Bad tools. Blow dryer is heavy and feels like I'm using a toy. Brushes are terrible and you get no tension. They over staff for Saturday's and than send you home or call you off during the week when it's slow. Definitely can't get full time hours no matter how hard you try.
